Verse 1

The Heartbeat of a loving God,

Is for the nations to draw near;

And it’s our task to spread the call,

To sin-sick souls crushed down by fear.

For Darkness presses towards the kill,

But we must press on bolder still;

Though sin and Hell seem to prevail,

We know our God will never fail!

This is the call that spurs us on:

Verse 2

The fields are ripe with golden grain,

Yet still the laborers are few

The harvest needs to be brought in

There is a task for us to do

How can lost hearts turn to belief?

How can they hear unless we speak?

How can we speak unless we go?

To share the truth with weary souls.

Verse 3

How beautiful upon the hills

The feet of him who brings good news

Driven by love and Spirit filled

With faith to make the mountains move

All power and authority

Is given to the risen king

To nations wide let us proclaim

Salvation comes through Jesus’ name
